Hakai – Calvert Island

In 2009 Hakai Beach Resort was purchased by the Tula Foundation and was part of the inspiration for the Hakai Institute (they are a renowned nonprofit organization focused on marine research and coastal conservation). Since ownership JTC has played a large role in building and upgrading all their facilities. The site is located on Calvert Island on the central coast and is accessible only by water taxi or plane.
